i was able to experience different surges of emotions, and my feet was able to land on different soils...
first off, i was able to experience a week of work, yeah yeah last year 2006, i was able to work as well in a travel agency for more than a week, but this time its different, coz i was able to feel the actual excitement of getting paid!! ( sweldo itu tsong!!), and this work is much thrilling maybe because of the fact that i will be working in an unfamiliar place, yes yes, i am somewhat a provin-ci-ya-na, since i live in los baños, and that im still a student, in los baños, again!, working in manila would be a really fun fun thing to experience. also since i have a knack for riding the LRT line2, and since my brother lives in santolan pasig, and the working place is in intramuros manila, this means that i will be able to ride the LRT line2 from SANTOLAN STATION to RECTO STATION (for those who dont know the train ride route, it simply means riding the train from the other end to the other end, sa tagalog dulo sa dulo) which means more hours of ride! YIPPEEE!!!
so all in all this working experience idea means, having more time riding my favorite train ride namely LRT line2, being able to sight see and actually experience the hustle and bustle of manila's working life, and lastly (which is the best part of it all) is getting paid (kaching kaching)!!!
after a week of tiring and eye drooling (caused by hours of encoding data in the computer) yet amusing learning experience i was able to earn almost 2thousand bucks, so yeehahh!!! i finally goit paid! and what do people do after getting paid??? well for actual hard working people they spend it on thier needs like food for lunch dinner breakfast, bills etc, but in my case since im a parasitic student and that i have no bills to pay, i spent it on (drumroll please)...my first guilt free SHOPPING experience!!! (but do take note that i realized that a hard earned money is not as easy to spend like counting 123.)
exactly after being employed for a week, halloween is next on the list... during the halloween night my mother planned a holloween party for the kids around the street where my brother lives, the kids were required to wear a costume!!! it was really fun, its was like a real life set for the dawn of the dead (kids version), games were held and a lot of laughters were made... but the fun, for me, really began when they started throwing out candies!!!
after that halloween party, and a week of stay in manila got me really tired, thats why my mother invited me to come along with her in bataan for the weekend, so i went along with her, bataan is a really attracting place, it is still so in touch with nature, the marina was great! i can even see corigidor from there (the real plan tho, was to go to corigidor, but the trip was cancelled because there was no available boat/"banka" trip).
after the bataan trip, i was expecting to going back to my typical bumming life as student on break, but something came up that made me really really happy!!! a phone call from my tatay (father) saying that his on his way back to the philippines (my tatay's a seaman), and that his expected arrival is november 6, exactly a day before his birthday (november 7), a lot of things really got me all psyched, spefically the pasalubongs, tons of new stuffs, shopping at duty free, and a laptop!!!, but the best part that really got me excited was being able to hug him and talking to him in person after months of just hearing his voice on the phone.
all those fun-filled activities really got me busy as a bee during the semestral break, so this i say "d na bitin ung sem break ngaung 07', sulit na sulit"
